Project | Rowntree House York |
Client | Stonehouse Projects |
Value | £90,000 |
The project was to renovate this derelict building in York into 8 luxury apartments. The building was the birthplace of Joseph Rowntree the famous chocolatier in 1836.
Priera was appointed to carry out the installation of mains distribution and sub metering throughout, lighting, power, heating, door access, television infrastructure and fire alarms to all the apartments and landlords areas. Due to gas not been available to the property the heating was all electric and consisted of contemporary cast iron radiators to keep the vintage feel to the building and underfloor heating to the bathrooms.
The project itself proved to be challenging due to the age of the property and we worked alongside our Client and worked with the guidelines of the conservation team to deliver 8 fantastic apartments which all by one was snapped up off plan before completion of the project.
Whilst it proved to be a challenge we are extremely proud of the results and look forward to moving onto similar projects with our Client in 2020.
